Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Unmarket Pty Ltd (“Unmarket”, “we”, “us”, “our”) — operator of the website unmarket.com.au and the internal application known as “mcp” (the “App”) — handles information accessed through the App. We are committed to protecting privacy in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Who we are
Unmarket is a marketing agency based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The App is a private, internal tool used by Unmarket to manage and report on advertising campaigns on the Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) for Unmarket and for the clients who have authorised us to manage their advertising accounts.
The App is not a consumer product. It is not offered to, or used by, members of the public, and it does not collect information directly from individuals browsing the internet.
2. Information the App accesses
When connected to a Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising account with the account owner’s authorisation, the App accesses advertising and business data via the Meta Marketing API, including:
- ad account, campaign, ad set and ad configuration;
- advertising performance metrics and insights (e.g. impressions, clicks, spend, conversions, return on ad spend);
- ad creatives, copy, images and catalogue/product-set data;
- audience definitions and metadata (names and sizes only — not the personal contact details of the individuals within those audiences); and
- the access token issued by Meta for the authorised System User.
The App does not collect, store, or process the personal information of end users who see or interact with the advertisements (such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, or payment details). It does not place cookies or trackers on any individual’s device.
3. How we use the information
We use the data accessed through the App solely to:
- create, review, optimise and report on advertising campaigns;
- monitor budgets, performance and account health; and
- prepare reporting and recommendations for Unmarket and its authorised clients.
The data may be processed by automated and AI-assisted systems for the purpose of analysis, reporting and campaign optimisation. We do not use the data for any purpose unrelated to managing the relevant advertising accounts.
4. How we share information
We do not sell the data accessed through the App. We may share it only:
- with the client who owns the relevant advertising account;
- with service providers that help us operate the App (such as secure hosting and AI-processing providers), under confidentiality obligations and only to the extent necessary; and
- where required by law or to protect our legal rights.
All access to and use of Meta platform data complies with Meta’s Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
5. Storage and security
Access tokens and any cached data are stored securely with access restricted to authorised Unmarket personnel. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including access controls and encryption in transit — to protect the data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
6. Data retention
We retain data accessed through the App only for as long as necessary to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. Cached advertising data is refreshed or discarded in the ordinary course of operation. Access tokens are deleted when an account connection is revoked or no longer required.
7. Data deletion
You may request that we delete the data associated with your advertising account at any time. To do so, email hello@unmarket.com.au with the subject line “Data Deletion Request” and identify the relevant Meta ad account. On receipt we will revoke the App’s access token for that account and delete any associated cached data we hold. You may also remove the App’s access directly in your Meta Business Settings at any time.
8. Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you may request access to, or correction of, personal information we hold about you, and you may complain about a privacy breach. Contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this URL, with the “Last updated” date revised accordingly.
